Irrational number - a real number, such as √2, that cannot be written in the form a/b in which a and b are whole numbers and b ∫ 0.

Decimal expansion - Writng a number, such as a fraction, as a decimal.

Terminating decimal expansion - A decimal sequence that ends in all 0s.

Repeating decimal expansion - A decimal sequence in which the numbers repeat in exactly the same order.
