Scan Pages 78-79; focus on the tan boxes, which contain the key vocabulary terms in black bold type, learn the meanings of the words.

Scan Page 78-79 for the white rectangular boxes in the margin that contain thoughts about the selection.

Read the selection, "from Self-Reliance". (take notes of important ideas)
