Read Pages 2-5 (take notes of important ideas)

Take the quiz on Lesson 1 "Living Things Are Made of Cells" (You may use the book, notes and Key Conceptss for help on the quizzes. NOT ON TESTS!)

Gather the materials you need, prepared slides of animal, plant, and bacterial cells, and a microscope. If you do not have access to these material examples of cells can be found on the Internet or you may use the pictures on page 7 and 86.
Follow the procedure on page 10 if you have a microscope and slides. If not use the pictures for the questions and Conclusions on page 11 and the quiz.
Complete the follow-up investigation quiz.
