Chapter 1-2 Transition

Materials:

Objective:

Students will spend some time solving puzzels and playing games having to do with classification or characteristics of living things. See the following:

Teacher will direct the students to the last address above. Students will look ahead in the book and create one puzzle for the coming chapter using the site http://puzzlemaker.com/

The student will then save the puzzle and e-mail it to the instructor. The student with the best puzzle will get 20 challenge points for his/her team and the puzzle will be used after the chapter 2 test.

 

The teacher will take a student volunteer and have them come to the front of the room. The other students will then describe what characteristics of the person make them a living organism. (Teachers may use themselves)
