Chapter 2 Review Game

Materials:

• At least one computer that can send e-mail
• One dice at the sites for students at site to roll. ( if you want to hook up your document camera your students can roll in a box on that so that everyone can see the result. The document camera looks like an overhead projector. You switch to it by using the button on the remote.)

Objective:

• Student will have fun while studying for the chapter 2 test.

Anticipatory Set: After a question and answer period students will recieve these rules.

• The game is chutes and ladders the objective is to be the first site to the finish line. (Sites can work as a team)
• To prepare for a question students should address an e-mail to Mr. Marley with their site name in th subject line.
• A question will be shown to all sites and read outloud.
• Students will put the letter of the correct response in the subject line and click send.
• The first team with the correct response and appears in my inbox first will get to roll the dice.
• The first team to the end of the game wins.

Teacher Input: Teacher will give students the questions and move player's characters on the board.

Independent Practice:

• If the game is a flop, students will have time to complete all quizzes and investigations for chapter 2. Then they may prepare for the test on Friday.

Duration:

30 minutes + 10-15 Independent Study.
