Stress - The way the body reacts to a change or a something that can hurt you

Lesson 2 Key Points

Vocabulary Terms

Social emotions - Emotions that have to do with relationships with others.

Guilt - An emotion felt when a person does something wrong.

Shame - an emotion that results from disapproval or rejection

Grief - a mixture of painful emotions that result from loss.

Depression - Extreme sadness.

  1. Love begins with a baby's need to be near a parent or caregiver.
  2. You might feel guilt when you do something you know is wrong. You might also feel shame.
  3. If a person feels ashamed, he or she might perspire or blush.
