Natural disaster - a destructive event that happens because of natural causes.

Earth quake - a shaking of the rocks that make up the earth's crust.

Hurricane - a tropical storm that forms over the ocean.

Hurricane warning - a situation in which a hurricane has reached land.

Hurricane watch - a warning to prepare for a hurricane.

Thunderstorm - a severe weather condition that produces thunder, lightning, high winds and rain.

Flood - a condition in which a body of water overflows and covers land that is not usually under water.

Flood warning - a situation in which flooding has occurred.

Flood watch - a situation in which flooding is possible.

Tornado - a whirling, funnel-shaped storm that forms over land.

Tornado warning - an alert issued when a tornado has been spotted in an area.

Tornado watch - a situation in which a tornado may develop.
