Vocabulary Terms

Financial - concerning money or property with value

Value - the amount of money your property is worth to a buyer

liability - the money you owe

Debt - money owed, or liability

Assets - property you won that has value

Net worth - the value of your assets minus the value of your liabilities

loan - a sum of money that you borrow

credit - the time you have to pay for the goods you buy

Merchandise - goods for sale or that you buy

Finance charge - a fee you pay on money you owe to a business

Joint - an account that is shared or owned together.

Interest - the money a bank pays you for putting money into a savings account; the fee you pay for borrowing money

Withdrawal - Money that you take out of your bank account

Deposit - the money you put into an account
