Vocabulary Terms

Arithmetic - The study of the properties of numbers using four basic operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Addend - Number to be added to another.

Sum - The result of addition.

Whole number - A number such as 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ...

Algebra - The branch of mathematics that uses both letters and numbers to show relations between quantities.
