Vocabulary Terms

Integer - any positive or negative whole number including zero.

Real number - any number on the number line.

Negative integer - a whole number less than zero.

Positive integer - a whole number greater than zero.

Absolute value - the distance from zero of a number on a number line, always positive.

Opposites - numbers the same distance from zero but on different sides of zero on the number line.
