General Policies Student Athletics — Eligibility Requirements (5.1d) In order to be eligible to participate in interscholastic activities, a student must adhere to the following rules: 1. Maintain a full class load toward graduation including electives (5 classes or better per quarter. Five classes or better will earn the student a minimum of 1 ¼ credits towards graduation). Seniors may take 4 classes if he/she is in line to graduate. 2. Maintain a 2.0 (“C” Average) no “F” grades allowed as determined by quarter grades. 3. Maintain satisfactory citizenship “C” or better as determined by the site administrator and staff. 4. No suspension or expulsion will be allowed. Suspension shall mean removal from school and not removal from individual classes for short periods of time. Violations of the above (1-4) shall mean the student is ineligible as follows: 1. Failure to adhere to 1-3 shall mean the student is ineligible for the quarter following the one in which the grades were earned. All freshmen (9th grade) are eligible for the first quarter of their freshman year. 2. Failure to adhere to 4 shall mean the student is ineligible for the period of 10 school days following the suspension. These eligibility requirements do not apply to district sponsored classes geared toward academic enrichment. The Superintendent or designee may revoke a student’s eligibility for participation in extra/curricular activities when a student’s poor citizenship is serious enough to warrant loss of this privilege.
