Anthony Cavan

I am a longtime Alaskan who graduated from Eielson High School. I joined the Air Force right out of High School and was assigned to Eielson after service in Washington State and the Middle East. I went to the University of Alaska Fairbanks upon completion of my service and finished my first degree in education. I was hired to teach welding and automotive with the Kodiak Island Borough School District right out of college where I spent 22 years before returning home to Fairbanks.

I have two grown sons and a wife who is also a teacher with the Yukon Koyukuk School District. Travel is our past time and my wife accompanies me on many historical based adventures to remote battlefields and Old West Towns. We also enjoy cruising through the Caribbean.

I am excited about being part of the YKSD’s Career and Technical Education Team and working with our students.
